Happy New Year: Reminiscences of 2023, prospects for 2024

2 min read  •  January 04, 2024

We can't quite believe it yet, but another year has come to an end, 2023 is history and we are already well into 2024. For us, the turn of the year is a time for reflection, retrospection, and anticipation - moments we would like to share with you. Review the year with us and find out what highlights 2023 had in store for us and what awaits you in 2024.

How 2023 turned out for us

A year of stumbling blocks

2023 was a year of challenges, characterized by conflicts and a tense economic situation, which we also experienced as a recession. However, despite turbulent times, we have remained resilient and these efforts have paid off. Even with minor setbacks, we were able to continue growing and keep our profitability stable.

A year of security

After we received the ISO 27001 certification at the end of 2022, we were seized by ambition and continued to strive for seamless information security at Stackfield in 2023. We are delighted to have achieved two further successes: the ISO 27017 certification (information security in cloud computing) and the ISO 27018 certification (protection of personal data in the cloud).

A year in your favor

In 2023, we were once again pleased to welcome a steady increase in new customers and team members: this development has motivated us to focus even more intensively on your satisfaction. The result? The year was peppered with significant updates and releases that made 2023 a year of progress and innovation.

Starting with the video and audio conferences, we have made several performance and design optimizations. Moreover, our mobile app was given a new, sleek, and modern design, which received a lot of positive feedback in December. The new whiteboard version 2.0 was enhanced with numerous new features at the beginning of 2023 and whiteboard collaboration at the end of 2023 - for even more efficient teamwork. Biometric authentication in the mobile app and authentication via Yubikey are some of the features we developed in 2023 for the security of your company. The globally defined Stackfield room templates were another highlight of the year: various templates for your teams in marketing, HR, software development, sales, support, and finance now support you in creating rooms and offer you customized settings for every use case. Last but not least, we continued to work on an accessible Stackfield to ensure that our platform remains user-friendly and accessible for everyone in 2024.

What we are planning for 2024

A new year lies ahead of us and we have a lot planned. You can look forward to the following exciting projects this year:

  • Automated deletion rules for improved data protection compliance, including a recycle bin in Stackfield
  • Complete overhaul of the pages, particularly in terms of design and functionality
  • Numerous new integrations with other tool providers
  • Full automation with Stackfield forms: Forward content from forms on your website directly to Stackfield without any code or cumbersome intermediate steps
  • Extended features in the mobile app
  • More possibilities in project management: global templates for tasks and subtasks, new import functions, and much more

And with that, we say goodbye to 2023, look forward to the coming year, and are excited to receive your feedback!
